Principal
Michael is a Founder and Managing Partner of MRL Real Estate. His background includes 8 years of experience on Wall Street as a fixed income trader. Michael leveraged his knowledge of the debt markets into a successful stretch running acquisitions at New York based developer GDS, where he helped grow a single asset portfolio to 1,500,000 square feet.
Michael’s affinity for the southeast grew when he was introduced to Charleston on a business trip to Jacksonville, Charlotte, and Charleston. He noted the similarities between the geographies of Charleston and NYC and began to identify opportunities in the residential market. He was charmed by the southern sophistication Charleston had to offer, as many are, and began investing in the south as early as 2011. The MRL portfolio continues to grow and the team continues to actively invest and develop in the Southeast and NYC.
